I sold some scissors that had been hanging out in my sewing box for years! I probably used them once or twice, but since I really had no use for them, I put them up for sale. My net proceeds were $5.93. All sales of our unused items go to the Big Goal.
Yesterday, I donated a large box and bag of items I have decluttered from our home this month. There were easily a few things that I could have tried to sell, but being bulky and heavy, I decided it was better to just donate and be done. My husband isn't a fan of strangers coming to our door or meeting them in this town we live in so that limits what I can sell. I know that we are blessed with plenty, so it is only right to simply pass things on when we no longer need them.

We each have mani/pedi sets, one has cuticle scissors the other the mini clip type. DH has grooming scissors for his wonderfully wild eyebrows. The two desks each have a pencil box that contains scissors, letter openers and stapler as part of the kit.
When we first moved to this complex, we realized a lot of the owners were retired and loved to show off grandchildren. I was happy to create a kit with kiddies safe scissors, coloring book, crayons, water colors and small train toys to provide entertainment for tots. Years ago when scrapbooking became popular, I took a class which happened to give a box of several types of wavy scissors as promotion. Those are fun and practical for all types of crafting and wrappings.
When our kids played hockey, special 'tape' scissors were extra ordinarily efficient. Fast forward and DH and I can't seem to stay out of hospital! Those scissors + our experience in hockey leagues, allow us to replace dressings like a pro. Even the dog has clips for nails and scissors for face grooming. When upstairs, I check for others I've forgotten
