Strange!

December 2nd, 2017 at 02:50 pm

I'm paying off the credit cards charges this morning. I pay them twice per month when my husband is paid. I was also reconciling the card with our largest balance (Southwest Visa). I noticed that a charge I recorded wasn't showing up on the card. I found the receipt and it shows I did pay for it with that card. So a pillow that we purchased at JC Penney with a coupon last weekend for $10.69 doesn't show up at all?! I had another transaction at that same store (different register) on the same day and it is showing up. So right now, it's like we have a free pillow! I'm sure it is possible that it will show up eventually.

I redeemed Swagbucks yesterday for a $25 Amazon gift card. Once it arrives I'm purchasing the final gift for my daughter. These Amazon gift cards have been very helpful in keeping our spending under our $600 budget.

Good job on the Swagbucks. I'm looking forward to learning if you truly got a free pillow.

It hasn't shown up yet...maybe this next week? I would love a free pillow...it wasn't exactly planned. Hard to turn down your husband when he insists he isn't sleeping well due to his pillow. And if I do get charged it will be well worth it as, he does think it has helped, thus it will be $10 well spent.

When we were in CA in April we bought some fudge - the charge didn't show up til June!

Oh geez, I really don't want to wait two months for it to show up, but I'm sure it will.

After buying almost $100 worth of stuff at our Walmart grand opening way back when, I kept waiting to see the debit on our debit card. I had it deducted since I wouldn't use the money and then after a month or so, I took a good look at the receipt. They had never taken that register our of training mode when opening the store up for real customers! We went through the line at around 4PM which means an awful lot of folks go free stuff that day. Maybe everyone did. All I know is we didn't get charged for it.

After trying to fix problems like this in the past, I finally have said enough. It is like I am trying to jump through hoops to get people to take their money back. At one point 16 years ago, when I had already stopped going into work due to illness, I got someone else's paycheck direct deposited to my account. I called my company and let them know what happened. Apparently no one cared as I didn't spend the money and then after about a year, I decided it was mine. These sorts of things never happened with regular pick up paychecks or cash payments, but the more they put credit cards and computers in charge, the more goofs keep happening. I actually told Amazon at one point that instead of sending me the one item I had bought, they had sent me three so how to send them back. Would you believe they credited my account for them. So I got two free quilting rulers in the mail and then Amazon compounded it by paying me to get them. I felt like pounding my head into a a wall! It just keeps happening and I have given up at this point. My posts on forums may seem slap dash, but for these sorts of problems I am very clear and consise and they still don't understand.
