Ima Saver

It's been awhile since we have heard from Ima Saver (Julie) here on Saving Advice. She last posted on July 21st of 2015. Several of us have left comments over the months since.

I'm a bit worried! Anyone have another way of contacting her?

    CC I'm worried as well. I remember that there was a way to send messages via email, when I first started blogging here but can't seem to figure that out now. I use a tablet and my phone to post so I'm not sure if maybe logging via desktop would make a difference.
    I'm praying she's okay 🙏🏾

    I have wondered about her, too. She was an every day poster for YEARS. I hope all is well with her and she simply lost interest in blogging.

    If I remember correctly, she was having some health issues and mentioned computer issues before that. Hoping its just technical difficulties.

    Wasn't her husband doing poorly healthwise? A heart attack or something? I can't remember off hand. It was in a comment to someone else's post, not her own, the last time someone hailed her on their own blog. I had been wondering if maybe he'd passed or gone into a nursing home and that was why she hadn't been around. Or maybe it was her health. Or both. My memory is not good.

    LR, I think it was Ima that was having health issue. Heart issues and reference to gangrene! I did find an email address from a comment she made on my blog. No response. I also sent a private message, also no response.

    Maybe like each of us has one or two people's real info written down? I think AS would think to write on my blog and let everyone know if something happened like she did when I gave birth, but most of you keep your blog private from friends and family, correct?

    I have been keeping an online list and collecting names, altho FYI not all commenters' names here show their email. In case something happens with this site. I have 13 names so far. If anyone else wants to be on the list and isn't sure if i have their email, feel free to send me a quick note.

    I think you have mine from when we corresponded about a job opportunity a few years ago. I know a few other people's names through various random contacts outside this site. If anyone wants to set up a phone-tree kind of thing, though, I'd be up for it.

    Ceejay - phone tree sounds like a good idea to me.

    I plan at some point writing a "final letter" with it including a list of places to post a goodbye note. I've seen it done for a number of people over the years - it still is sad, but at least you know.

    Ima Saver mentioned computer problems a full year ago. She didn't feel comfortable buying a new computer on her own. Though I know she has had health issues, I am sure there is also technological issues.

    My SA name/email is fake (not useful for any lists) but I keep in touch with some outside of SA.

    No update on Ima? I had hoped there'd be one.

    If she reads this, I'm wishing her well on all fronts (health and computer).

    Since I'm late to the game, is someone coordinating efforts to have ways to maintain contact? I know I'm connected with several outside of this venue.

    And I recall when CB was missing and I knew the institution she was employed at and tried to come up with a guess at her non-alias. Happy that we solved that mystery! And have met IRL!

    I did message Julie (Ima Saver) and send an email to her, but they have both gone without response at this point. I do think it might be nice for awhile to put a post up each month and hopefully with a lot of comments, so that it will get attention on the most talked about posts. If you see these posts in future months, please post well wishes for her and maybe in time we will get a response.
