Tempted...

I'm tempted to go shopping today. I have this idea that if I go to Target that I can get some ornaments on clearance. I usually buy one for each of my daughter's, but I didn't buy them this year. They have often come from Target because they seem to have a style my daughter's like.

And I still have the opportunity to gift them as we will not open stockings and the rest of our gifts until next week when my oldest daughter returns home.

Part of me say don't go shopping. Avoid the chaos. Avoid adding 'stuff' to our home. But I also know that for a couple dollars I'm helping build their ornament collections and that they will like them.

I will have to resist any other temptations while in the store, too! That might be the hardest part. The good news is I do not need any wrapping paper for next year. We don't need any candy or holiday themed food. We have more than we need!!

    I've a few 50% off coupons for Michaels [crafts] and would like Rub n Buff product for a couple of projects. It's minus 19 C, the roads are icy and treacherous, numerous fender benders and parking at the shopping centre will be crazy - all good reasons to stay home. My plan is to go about 15 minutes before closing when the store will be empty and parking ok. I'd like to take some items to recycle which is enroute.

    I got a $5 off $15 coupon from CVS that expires on the 29th ... am thinking about going there and seeing what I can get from there for $10 that fits into a budget category, along with $5 of things that don't .. Smile Otherwise, no shopping for me til January. :

    I made to Target. No ornaments bought, just the mousse I needed for my hair and a bag of chips my daughter requested. It was crazy busy there. Haven't people spent enough money?!!

    I thought about shopping today, too. I don't need wrap, but I am low on tissue paper and gift tags. It doesn't seem worth it for that. I did go grocery shopping, but no tissue or tags at the grocery store. I think I will make tags next year (I'll have so much time!) and tissue paper can be found year-round.
