Dinner Out Tonight

November 21st, 2015 at 09:27 pm

We are going out to dinner tonight with the couple that let my husband stay with them for a few months before the rest of us moved here. It's a bit of a pay back dinner. They got to choose. It's a restaurant my husband and I have not been to, but the couple advise the bill could easily reach $30 a person for food and drinks. Not terrible, but not frugal either.

I don't really want to spend the money, but I'm hoping the time out will be enjoyable. And paying for a meal out is way cheaper than my husband paying for housing out of pocket while we still had a mortgage payment.

Are you eating in on this Saturday evening or going out to dinner?

WE are staying in tonight. Hubby is working late over at the cabin that we sold in October. The couple is coming to see it on Thanksgiving. But, we will be going out to eat on Monday night, my birthday.

Sounds like a pleasurable night over all. You work hard. Enjoy it. I assume if they let him stay they are pretty good friends?

Eating in. Enough eating out over thanksgiving potentially with guests in the house.

My husband had known this couple for almost 10 years. They have been coworkers of his. I'm only getting to know them, but they are nice and easy to talk to. We had a very nice time. And they treated us to ice cream after! Smile

We stayed in and with the cold and the wind here in Central Illinois, we were happy to stay in. Hope you had a nice time at dinner and it was worth it.
