Pinecone Cash Out Change

I did a Pinecone survey over the weekend and they credited my account with 300 points today. I always redeem right away for $3 to my PayPal account. But today that is not an option. My only options are $5, $10 or $15!

I'm disappointed that they keep making things harder and harder. Didn't we get a $5 check in the mail for each survey in the past? Then it changed to $3 for awhile. There was also a time when the Paypal option came right to us, rather than going to the third party to pick our reward and wait another day for the Paypal deposit.

For now, I will continue to participate. The best thing about Pinecone is the ability to get cash for the time spent. I don't like that I know have to wait to meet a threshold for payment. It's not a nice way to treat their participants in my opinion.

So no cashing out for me today. I'll have to wait at least for one more survey to get $5. I may be easier to just wait for four more surveys and then cash out that way.

Had anyone seen this change prior to my mentioning it?

    I was going to post about this too. I just got credited for the second survey I did this month and went to cash out for $6 Frown Between the lack of surveys and now less ways of cashing out .. I wonder how long for Pinecone? Or at least how long til the points are reduced or perhaps it isn't 1 point = 1 cent anymore.

    Some of those food surveys are just *barely* tolerable for $3.

    Go check again....I just (like right now that i read your post) cashed out for 300pts for $3. I know their website was having issues (they didn't credit me for a survey last week)

    jill, I went and checked but it is still showing $5 minimum cash out for 500 points. I will keep checking though. Thanks!

    I sure don't like the idea that the points credited and the cashout options don't match! So if you do two surveys, you can get one $5 cashout? But then there's a dollar left over. You would have to do four surveys for a $10 cashout, leaving two dollars in the pot. It doesn't even out until you do five surveys -- IF a $15 cashout is an option. I think they are trying to push customers to use the other rewards instead.

    Update: I keep checking since jill indicated there could be some website issues. I also contacted customer service who suggested I delete internet history which I did. Same issue. I let them know again since their email even indicated 300 points for $3 cash!! I sent a screenshot this time to see if that might help with the communication.

    I already got my $5 in PayPal - so it doesn't seem to be a website glitch.

    CB - there is a $15 option. So ... if this stays, then probably cashing out every 5 surveys makes the most sense. Such a pain.
