Received $50

I received the $50 cash bonus for opening the Discover Checking account. I wrote one check for $25 (to a non profit) that hasn't cleared yet, otherwise I would be closing the account.

I will end up sending that $50 to the mortgage, since it is officially extra money/snowflake!

Did anyone else do the Discover Checking offer? I received our offer in the mail. I think you have to have the Discover card to be eligible.

    Hmmm... I wonder if it is in my pile of mail... Was there a requirement to write at least one check?

    I don't think the check is a requirement. I wrote one, but it has not cleared and I did receive the cash bonus. I think the only requirements were to deposit a minimum of $25 and have the Discover card.

    I thought about it, but decided against it because I didn't want the hassle of opening and closing an account for $50.
