Seventeen Years!

My husband and I are celebrating seventeen years of marriage today. We were married on a Friday and it did mist and rain, just like it is today.

We have had many anniversaries where we could not be together, so we are taking advantage of this Friday evening to celebrate.

We bought each other a card, and exchanged them this morning. We both wrote that we consider each other a best friend.

We have purchased tickets to see a play, total cost $55. We will go out to eat wherever we want and enjoy the time together. I'm sure many people have more frugal anniversaries and others much more extravagant.

How do you celebrate your anniversary?

    Congrats! Sadly, we have sort of forgotten or not gotten anything together for the last two wedding anniversaries (5th and 6th). We blame having young kids! We're hoping to be less lame when we're less exhausted (if that time ever comes Smile). But, we try to make a big deal out of every holiday and anniversary, so even if we don't really celebrate that one, we still lavish lots of love and attention on each other on birthdays, Xmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.

    Congratulations and wishes for many more happy years together!
    Usually we just go out and have a nice dinner, but for milestone anniversary's, we tend to go bigger, like a trip (which we always pre-plan and pre-pay) Smile
