The house is going on the market today! Professional photos were taken this morning. I can't wait to see them. The agents and the photographer are thrilled with how the house looks. They said it looks professionally staged. I guess I have a career I could turn to!
I really have my fingers crossed for a quick sale. It will help everything else go smoother for our move. We sold our last home in five days for $500 more than list to a cash buyer. If you have sold a home how long did it take to sell?

Last we sold a home, it took about 5 minutes. That is how it goes in the Bay Area. We were infinitely more lucky on the buying end - that we actually found a decent home without getting into a bidding war battle. I still don't quite know how we pulled that off... {My SIL sold her condo a few years back - she had over 100 offers in one day - it is insanity!! Those were the stories everyone told us when we bought, too. We sold right after 9/11 so the market was severely mellow, in comparison. I never got to experience one of those insane bidding wars}.

Very nervous about the prospect, especially for our U.S. home, since AS and I bought near the peak of the housing bubble (not even knowing there was a boom, though if we had, we'd probably have bought anyway since so many people were saying that real estate could only go up).

But I don't think we could sell our current house even for $100,000 below what we paid. The market where we are is terrible, and there are tons of listings.
Good luck to you!
