Free Black Door

September 4th, 2010 at 12:24 pm

We had our house painted this spring, but I didn't have them paint the front door. I didn't know what color I wanted at the time. And it is pretty easy to paint a door.

I finally decided on black since our shutters and light fixtures are black. Turns out I already had the paint I needed! I had painted a dresser black about a year ago and had plenty of leftover paint for the front door.

The weather turned cool yesterday and I had a free day, so I tackled the front door. It turned out great and I didn't have to buy anything new!

Ah...another task accomplished on life's constant list!!

Yup - set 'em up, knock ;em down! Nice job!

I just finished some winter car prep - washing and waxing cars, cleaning their windows inside and out, and touching up the little rust spots and bumper scrapes.

Isn't it nice when things work out?

I love black. I thought about painting my doors black, but ended up painted one of them a herby color green, which I also like.

Between the van loan and home improvement, you are doing great. I can't even convince my hubby to finish unpacking the boxes from our move. Arrgh! Maybe I should do it?

Our double front door is a burgundy color, but black is our bedroom furniture and black door actually sounds pretty nice. What color is the house?

    Does the list ever end?

Homebody, our house is a tan with white trim, black shutter and light fixtures, so the black door does look pretty good.
