Today's Green Smoothie: Day 8

I made my green smoothie for lunch and it was not the best one I made. I don't think I'm a fan of the parsley or I just needed more fruit to balance the greens in this one.

Today's smoothie once again made 24oz. It is equal to about 240 calories.

1c. water
2 large ribs of celery
1 kiwi
6 smaller leaves of kale (maybe 1c)
1/4c. parsley
1c. frozen mized berries

I was able to drink it and it has kept me full this afternoon.

    I am not a fan of parsley either. We have been making a lot of the spinach and banana variations of the green smoothie and so far they have all been really good. Great way to get my kids to get their greens. Thank you for sharing your recipes.

    Thanks for commenting Cindy! I do make up most of my own recipes. And I'm glad I at least tried parsely.

    My girls are 10 and above...any tips to get them to drink them? I was thinking of making a fruit one, and adding one romaine leaf to start and work up from there.

    Oh, I just realized I did put chia seeds in this one again. I think that helps keep me full, too. It's also 60 of the calories.

    I've been looking over your smoothie recipes too and am thinking of trying some. I pretty much like all fruits and veggies.

    Sometimes I think parsley can be a bit bitter when it is put with other stuff. But, I have to say I'm impressed that you are trying lots of different ways to make them.
