Coupons Used Are Saved Money

November 13th, 2017 at 12:15 pm

I only use coupons for things I'm going to buy anyway. I do see how coupons can actually suggest to you to buy something that you wouldn't even have bought in the first place!

At any rate I did use coupons yesterday at the commissary. Seven coupons worth $7.25. Three coupons were ones I printed. One was found on the package. And three were on the commissary rewards app. Easy savings.

I also found a Any Item $0.25 rebate on Ibotta, so I claimed that too.

I'm actually going to move money from our grocery budget to our Big Goal savings. It's not much, but small amounts add up.

Did you use any coupons at the grocery store this week?

I hardly ever get coupons anymore. I think I need to find them online and figure out how to print them... I used to get coupons for $1 off my toothpaste ... hardly ever see them now. Where do you get online coupons?? I'm with you I only use the coupons for the items I usually buy anyway... most of the time lately the coupons aren't worth it. Like 25 cents off 4 boxes of cereal ... uh... no... :-)

TurtleLover, I primarily use Coupons.com. I link to them through Swagbucks. I go direct to some manufacturer's sites to get coupons they offer. One that I do that for is the contact solution I use. Their site lets me print one per month worth $1.50.

I use coupons rarely. Never bother unless they are at least $1 and it's something I buy regularly. I mostly get them in emails.

I mostly use coupons through my store's shopper card. Last week, between sales and store coupons, I saved $49.00. And yes, I put it in a special account that I will likely use next year to buy another car.

I love the digital coupons at stores like Albertson's and Smith's!

Thanks for asking, CCF! I had a stellar coupon day on double coupon Saturday. With the store promos and doubled coupons, my $55 tab was cut in half. I think lots of it was the Thanksgiving promo items, but I got free broth, free infused rice, free canned veggies, Ragu for 30 cents. I was very happy--plus!--my daughter wanted to come with me and they were having a holiday open house (?) at the grocery store which meant we munched our way through the store--fancy cheese, sausage, egg nog, pineapple, cauli rice, brioche, cookies, beef stew. We skipped lunch out because we were very full.

iBotta has the any item rebate weekly. Smile
Did you go through swagbucks to print your coupons - i.e. the 1SB per coupon bonus?
