Looking Forward to Payday

I don't usually have much opinion about payday. We pay bills, save some money when we can and have money to spend on what we need and sometimes things we want.

This week payday is arriving a bit early since the 15th falls on a weekend. Thus DH gets paid on Friday. This payday will be the last time we have to pay for my husband's apartment rental. Woohoo!! I also expect we will get to save several hundred dollars. I like saving. Smile

Yep, I'm looking forward to payday. How about you? Do you count the days to payday or do you just forget about it?

    Yay! That is an exciting payday.
    I feel like I always know when payday is, in the back of my mind. Mostly because I look forward to paying off little bits of debt when it finally does arrive, and I am always thinking of what regular bills need to be paid. Not fun, but necessary.

    I always look forward to pay day so I can stash a little more in savings. And it just feels GOOD to pay bills. Check that off the list!

    Glad you get to stop paying that bill.

    Yes, I look forward to each payday. Several months ago it was because I was broke at the end of each one (I'm paid monthly). Now it's more because I get to attack more debt!

    Sometimes I forget for days at a time, but I remember how exciting it was at my first job. I was a 22-year-old goofball and payday was extremely exciting. I always celebrated it somehow with little rituals like take-out Chinese or a beer with work buddies.

    Those rituals are a lot of fun. I should reinstitute them.

    My pay day is this Friday, too, but I'm not very excited about it because I know I'm not going to be able to transfer much into savings. Maybe $200.
