Truck Payment

December 20th, 2011 at 04:28 pm

Our automatic payment on the truck loan posted. We paid $35.45 in interest last month, but a whopping $293.68 to principal.

The new principal balance is $12,412.06. It looks like another two months before we will drop below the $12K mark.

I will actually look forward to the day the principal portion is over $300 each month. I should figure out when that might occur.

Less debt. Always feels good!

    I use this amortization calculator:

    http://www.bretwhissel.net/amortization/

Enter the original cost of the truck, interest rate, and loan period (in months). Count down the number of payments you've made, and you should see where you are right now.

Congratulations on the progress you're making!

Thanks, Bob. If you didn't post I would not have actually looked into it. Because I forgot!!

Turns out August of 2012 our principal payments will be over $300, unless we start making extra payments before then.
