Kids Clothing

November 5th, 2009 at 04:59 pm

My daughter's have concerts (vocal and band) next week for school where they need to dress nice. My youngest has a dress, pants and a shirt that will work, but she needs shoes. My older daughter needs everything!

Last night, we went to the mall and hit JC Penney's. My older daughter found pants for $12.99 and a shirt for $14.99. With tax, I spent less than $30!! I'm thrilled that we were able to find items quickly and at great prices.

We attempted one shoe store last night, but did not come up with anything that would work. We will go again this weekend.

In addition to dress clothes and shoes, my daughter's need snow gloves and boots. They both WANT new snow pants, but they don't NEED them, so they are last on the list. I'd like to find the snow pants used, if possible.

I need new clothes, too!! For some reason, I'm always on the last of the list. Well, it's probably because I don't work outside the home. Smile

Both of my daughters are in major need of new winter coats. Their family birthday party is on 12/5 and my mom and stepdad bought them new North Face wooly coats - so I just have to get through one more month. Might be difficult because it is getting colder here ...

Great prices on older daughter's outfit. Good luck finding shoes!

Having 3 daughters, my wardrobe suffered too. I always put the kids wardrobes first. Imagine my surprise at age 50 how much I enjoy clothes again! I see YD doing the same thing. I 14-month-old grandaughter is dressed really cute!

This leads me to recall when we lived in Maine, we were often able to find excellent new (or nearly new) LL Bean apparel at the local second hand stores, because LL Bean would donate their returns to these stores. I still have some of the stuff I got there for incredibly low prices, and it lasts forever. You didn't have the insurance of the warranty, since they would mark the labels, but who cares? I hope you find lots of great stuff for them... and for you!
