I'm the wife of a full time Army Reserve Captain and SAHM to daughters ages 12 and 9. I'm 37 and DH is 40.

We started our marriage 13 years ago with over $10K in credit card debt from a failed business venture. We paid it off as quick as we could with the goal of purchasing our first home. We did this within 15 months of getting married. Now it is time to watch us pay off our home equity loan!!

I've loved the Olympics ever since I went as a kid. I went when they were held in Los Angelos in 1984. It was so fun. You could just feel the competitive, yet unifying, spirit in the air.

All four of us get to see the U.S. swimming trials next week. We don't know which events or which swimmers we will see, but we sure hope to see someone advance to the final team!

This is held here in the US, not Beijing! Hence, the reason we are able to go so inexpensively!!

Yeah it's a really neat thing. Back in '96 when the Olympics were in Atlanta we got to see the soccer games for free because they were held locally at the University of GA. It was our gift because we stood and gave out free water all day outside the venues.

We were visiting relatives a couple hours away during the Olympics in Atlanta. We had tickets to the heats for one of the races on one of the rivers but by the time we drove down and found it and all, they were over! So many teams had dropped out that the time was shortened or something. We thought we'd allowed plenty of time to see the later races. So, we bought some shirts and walked around and left. Boy, it was hot! Have fun at the trials!

Lucky you! I'm so jealous! We started trying to get tickets to the swimming trials almost a year ago, but never could. We would have had to book airline tickets, so couldn't do anything last-minute! Have a great time! There is going to be some really fast swimming there, especially with the new Speedo LZR! About $500 for a suit that you can race in just a couple times!
