February No Spend: Severe Weather

February 24th, 2016 at 05:27 pm

Our area is experiencing severe storm (tornadoes) weather today. It's even causing schools to close early. As a result, we will be staying in the rest of the evening so we can stay safe and near shelter.

We will save $25 because we won't be going to my daughter's flute lesson. I'm pretty sure they are cancelled if school cancels. Of course, I care more about being safe then the cash.

So I think we can call this a no spend day! Yea...I need all of them we can get through the end of the month.

Are tornadoes really rare where you are now?? I am trying to recall if my sister ever had any tornadoes when she lived in your neck of the woods for several years. Plus we have relatives in Florida and I am pretty sure they have never had tornadoes! (Just looking at the news. Crazy!)

    Stay safe!

Rare enough they don't have tornado sirens like they do in the Midwest! And I don't have a basement, which is the most upsetting part for me. We will need to climb in an interior closet if needed.

Stay safe! I am in the FL Panhandle and the tornado siren went off last night. I grew up in MI and never heard one in all those years. Luckily, no damage near me, but they did have some over in Pensacola.
