Botanical Garden Membership

June 21st, 2015 at 07:35 pm

We visited the local Botanical Garden in our new city. It was very nice...although super hot at 10am this morning when we visited. With our military discount, admission was $36 for four of us. I think we were there an hour outside. We decided we would visit again and decided to purchase a membership for the year. It was $75, we were able to apply our original admission to the membership. Total spent was $75, but will cover many new adventures at the Botanical Garden.

I can't wait to go back when it is cooler! Do you have a botanical garden in your town?

My husband and I love Botanical Gardens. I think your membership was a smart move.

Not in my town, but there's one in the capital (Edinburgh )

There is a lovely Japanese garden about a half hour from here. It's very special. I also like Garden Conservancy tours. CT has a lot of smaller public gardens you can tour.

The Chicago Botanical Gardens are in a nearby suburb. I've never been, but making a visit is one of my post-retirement goals!

When I lived in the DFW area, both Dallas and Fort Worth had botanical gardens. I liked Dallas's, but LOVED Fort Worth's. I didn't have a membership to either one, but would go to the free part of the FW one and lay on a blanket under the trees ... so beautiful.
