Relax A Cat

To keep things on a light note after the holiday, I'm posting the picture I took of one of my cats last night. She's hanging out in her travel kennel. I put carpet remnant in there, took the door off, and added some cat nip. I've seen both cats using them, so hopefully it is a good start to our trip!

    Awesome! I am happy to report, that almost a year after I purchased a cat scratcher/lounger, one of my cats actually sat on it this weekend! Twice!

    That's amazing! Placing our cat near the kennel opening is like getting two magnets close together on the wrong side.

    CB, interesting that it took so long!

    Jenn, I can imagine what you describe!! These kennels have been sitting out nearly a week now and only this weekend were they really using them. We'll just leave out until it is time to pack up!

    Oh gosh I don't think either of my two cats would willingly lay in their carriers. I move 1000 miles with them in my car on Monday... hopefully all goes well!

    Sorry to say that my cat LOVES to sleep in his carrier (we just leave out in the open and we noticed he started sleeping in it) but he absolutely hates it when forced into it or in the car. That said, I would hope it gives your cats some layer of calm or comfort, no matter how small. I just wouldn't get too optimistic about it.

    I hear you MM, I don't expect this much relaxation while in the car!! I've had them in the car many times in recent weeks and they don't usually like it, although they do calm down the longer they are in the car it seems.

    Monkey would do that whenever I had his carrier left out/open - explore it and sometime curl up and sleep in it. Kari not so much ... Guess which one is/was a much better car companion? Not Kari!
