Southwest Offers Are Back

November 7th, 2014 at 05:19 pm

Southwest Airlines has brought back their credit card bonus offers of 50,000 miles for making $2000 worth of purchases in 3 months. The cards have annual fees.

Here is the link I found, so you can read the fine print and get all the details.

I'm going to apply for the Plus card, as I have already had the Premier card. I made the mistake of cancelling the card before I redeemed all my points for gift cards, so I will have those in my pocket soon. We will have no issue putting $2K of spending on the card, especially with the holidays! And we can easily pay it off, too. Smile

Do you fly Southwest? Have you taken advantage of these offers before? Will you again?

I did notice the fine print mentions no bonus if you have been a card member in the last 24 months. This means I may not get the offer if I apply. I'm debating on doing it anyway just so I can get to the points I failed to redeem last time. I would likely still get the annual fee returned. Has anyone received a bonus when the offer states this?

I applied and was approved. I saw some websites indicated it is 24 months per product. The plus card is a new product to me, so I should be eligible. Worth the chance I decided!

I'm pretty sure I've had the Southwest card twice within a 24-month period. I've also violated other cards' T&Cs in that way and always gotten the bonus. It's funny to me because it would be so easy for them to automatically check if they found it important; it's the same company, after all!

I know I've had the Premier card but can't recall about the Plus. I need to find out!

We don't fly SW....we did once, on a trip to Vegas and didn't realize you had to basically check in the night before or you would be last in line to get a seat. We had to split up on one of our flights and hubby didn't like that, so he refuses to ever fly them again...lol.
