January Snowflake Update

January 11th, 2013 at 08:26 pm

I know I've been accumulating snowflakes here and there this month, but had yet to put them in my spreadsheet or add them up. I did that today, and was surprised I have $55.85 already.

The goal for the year is a minimum of $750. This means I need to save an average of $62.50 per month in snowflakes. Snowflakes at our house are for our Christmas fund! It does help to start early.

I did a Pinecone survey today and expect I will be paid the $3 on Monday. Of course, I will add, too! Any one else have a snowflake update?

Tiny amounts that seem unimportant do add up when put together. Nice job. Do you earn gift cards or received them as gifts?

I just came from Target and earned a $5 GC. I took your advice and stocked on laundry detergent since I had $2 coupon and $2 left on a previous GC so less OOP.
Are u going to count your husband's raise as snowflakes?

I earn gift cards from purchases at Target and Swagbucks.

I'm not counting my husband's raise, although I could. The snowflakes I track here are for the Christmas fund. I will think about adding another snowflake list. The raise is going to increased savings on our Roth IRA's and college investments.
