Used Target Gift Cards

November 15th, 2011 at 06:14 am

I used the Target Gift cards to buy my daughter one her must have gifts. Regular price of the item was $49.99. I had $39.54 in gift cards. I used my Target Red card to pay the balance so I received the 5% off the balance of the purchase as well.

The gift cost me just under $11.00 out of pocket!!

The gift cards were some of those $5 ones you receive when you make certain purchases. I've been saving them up. I think I've accumulated at least $60 worth this year.

It's always fun to pay less out of pocket! Smile

I was just thinking I have three of the $5 ones in my wallet. I think they're going to be the bus driver gift this year. DD and I have been talking about making some of those woven Swedish heart ornaments, and they'd be the ideal gift card holders. What's on the "must-have" list at your house>

My youngest daughter is big into Legos AND Harry Potter. The must have purchase was the Lego Hogwarts Castle...luckily she is satisfied with the smaller castle!

If your daughter were to visit my house, she would be wildly excited at my coffee table where the BIG Hogwarts castle AND hagrid's hut live. They've lived there since April and will have to be moved before Christmas. BTW my 9 year old purchased the Hogwarts himself after saving for months and months. This year Santa is going to be bringing him The Burrows and I think the purple bus. BTW - Sam's Club has the Lego's book of Harry Potter for $13.99. Very fun to see the versions that have evolved over the years.
