Today's Spending: Van Maintenence

June 16th, 2011 at 04:42 pm

Today, I took the van in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. We are also having them look at the power steering. The service advisor thinks a flush of the power steering fluid should do the trick.

My estimated total is at $157. I did give them a coupon for $10 off if the total is over $100. I hope it counts. The service advisor didn't know. Now I wait for the call. Hopefully, we don't need anything else done!

Do you see the trend here? Spending. Everyday. Large amounts of money leaving our bank account. Can't wait for it to stop!

At least you have the money to spend when you need it. That must be a good feeling!

Oh, yeah ... I can relate:

$3,440 real estate tax payment property 1
$2,200 real estate tax payment property 2
$1,431 prepaid college tuition contract 1
$1,431 prepaid college tuition contract 2
$1,100 dance tuition for four months (two dancers)

    ETC, ETC, ETC.

Big car purchase coming up will be about $21K.

    Good-bye bank account balance!

Wow, Laura...you can feel my pain. And I feel yours. At least we are not accumulating more debt.

We did need a power steering pump replaced. It was covered under Honda Care. This is when I'm glad I purchased a warranty. Smile
