May God Give You...

March 17th, 2011 at 08:05 am

May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from our Irish family to you!

Yesterday was a no spend day. I expect today to be the same. It is warm here and we will head out for a bike ride before the rain arrives tomorrow.

I played around with my online bank account and was able to add visibility to accounts at other banks. I also realized I can catagorize transactions, thus showing me exactly where our money goes each month. It must be similar to mint.com. I like the simplicity of it! Very exciting for me as a math nerd. Smile I'm curious. Does your bank offer this? Do you use it? Has it helped you?

    I like your blessing, too!

We bank at PNC and use their Virtual Wallet which shows spend/reserve/growth and also tracks spending in specific categories. I don't think that I can have it linked to show our investments and retirement funds at Vanguard. I used to use Mvelopes, and that did show everything, but we dropped the membership.

I bank at Suntrust and I don't think that you can link it to see investments. However, I do use the internet banking with my quicken to see what has cleared each day and to reconcile my account daily.

    Very nice blessing. Thank you.

I bank with Wells Fargo and they have something like you describe. It's pretty cool to look at. Smile
