$1 Gas?

Looks like $1/gallon gas could be coming. I saw $1.49/gallon last night while I was out and about.

Here's the article that was on the front page of my paper this morning.

Any predictions on when?

NOT in my area. Taxes alone between the feds, state, city, county andtransportaion authority are about $1/gal.

I am SHOCKED to see $1.75 yesterday. Interesting how No ONE is complaining about how fast gas $$ are going down these days (daily) when all we heard last spring & summer during the rise was how fast stations went down (2x/week on delivery days only for me).

well that all would be very exciting and a little bit of good news we could all use, but i noticed there was not one mention of OPEC in that article. They are, after all, the source of most of our oil.(Nenezuela, you know, is part of OPEC, too.) I doubt they're gonna take this lying down. This is their life blood. If the first output cut doesn't work to bring prices up, i'm guessing they'll continue to cut output to shrink inventory. It's gonna catch up with us so don't roll that hummer out of the garage just yet.

I paid $1.79 a few days ago.
